Ember Falls continues the saga around Heather, Picket, their dear friend Smalls, and the rabbit world of Natalia. Ember Falls kept me on the edge of my seat, and there were most certainly times when I felt like taking a victory lap around my home on behalf of the characters. However, Ember Falls is not the conclusion to the Green Ember series, it is the continuation of it. Ember Falls is a hard book because there isn’t a firm and joyful conclusion. It is, so to speak, in the valley before the mountain. Things have to get worse for Heather and Picket before they can get better. In my opinion, this is part of what makes the series so phenomenal. Readers want to have a struggle before everything gets better, and Ember Falls is that.

The rabbit armies of Prince Smalls have to contend not only with the forces of Morbin, but also with a strange and fierce army of foreign rabbits. Are they friends or are they foe? Will Picket and Heather remain true to the cause and the hope of the mended wood? Read Ember Falls to find out!

If you haven’t read The Green Ember, please do so before reading Ember Falls and the following books! The series is meant to be read in order, and it reaches its full potential for greatness when read chronologically!
